Inclusion Film

Inclusion Film

DaDa - Disability and Deaf Arts would like young disabled and deaf people to make a short film about the barriers they face in attending youth projects.

Young people will have the opportunity to work with a professional film maker who will provide guidance, mentoring and training on film making and editing to produce the film.

When completed the film will be placed on the DaDa website and social media sites and distributed to mainstream organisation to allow them to implement changes to make their projects more accessible.

The first brainstorming meeting will take place on Monday 26th September from 4:30pm and the initial training session on Monday 3rd October from 4:30pm at the Bluecoat, School Lane, Liverpool L1 3BX Travel and any access support will be provided if required.

Over the period of four months from September to December you will be asked to interview and film young disabled and deaf people to find out their opinions. Filming will take place at group sessions and independently so you must be willing to work on your own for part of the project.

Please note we only have four spaces on the project for participants so if we are oversubscribed we will choose successful participants on the strength of their applications.

If you would like to take part in the project please complete an application form and return to [email protected] or Sam Wade, DaDa - Disability and Deaf Arts, the Bluecoat, School Lane, Liverpool, L1 3BX. Applications must be received before 4pm on Friday 16th September 2011.
