Sophie Woolley
Writers Award
Sophie works as a writer, playwright and scriptwriter. Her work is original, emotionally instinctive, informed and surprising and usually fantastically funny. She writes without cynicism and manipulates archetypes, stereotypes and cliches with ingenious effect. She has also consistently sought to make her own plays accessible to deaf audiences. Recent plays include When to Run and Fight Face. She has recently had work published and has written for BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio 4. She was also an attached writer at Soho Theatre in 2005.
