Rachel Gadsden has an MA in Fine Art. She is a visual artist with a disability who exhibits internationally across mainstream and disability art sectors, exploring notions of hope and fragility in her artwork.
In 2008 Rachel was appointed HRP's first artist in residence at Hampton Court Palace; and she was commissioned to create artworks for the Beijing - London Paralympics Handover Ceremony Sept 2008. She is currently engaged with Paralympic art projects for London 2012.
In March 2009 Rachel was appointed the first artist to work with Parliamentary Outreach for the Breaking Barriers Exhibition and is delighted to have been short listed with this project for the DaDa "Arts Award".
