D.Vercity was an attempt to introduce disability arts and culture to Lancashire. We wanted to enable local disabled people's organisations to become involved and learn about the stimulus and power of our own culture. We wanted mainstream arts venues and public spaces to open their eyes to our talents and skill. We wanted to create a productive and creative relationship with our European partner to enable them to share and showcase the UKs creative talent. Above all we wanted to acknowledge our rich history linking it to our future in this Lancashire Disabled people's festival.
