Small Cinema seeking contributions
Filmmakers of the world, your film hasn't been seen until it's been seen in Widnes. Yes, we are running A Small Cinema in Widnes town centre over the Easter weekend (April 3rd), and we want to put together a great programme of short films, documentaries and animations. We are planning 3 screenings a kids matinee a local interest, and a pick n mix. Anything goes, but of particular interest are works that might relate to Widnes, the notion of economy, and kid-friendly films for the matinee.
A Small Cinema is a portable temporary cinema space installation in the style of an old fashioned cinema. Audiences are treated to a number of classic cinema experiences, from red velvet curtains to courteous ushers (plus an interval for ice-cream!). It is an intimate and special communal cinema-going experience. We love seeing your films, and even if they don't make the final selection, it ain't personal. So if you have something, please send it in. Deadline 5th March. Email download links to: manager@asmallcinema.co.uk. Post films to: A Small Cinema 67 69 Victoria St Liverpool L1 6DE.
