DaDaFest 2009 will run from Nov 17th through to 5th December. YOU CAN NOW BOOK FOR THE FOLLOWING DADAFEST 2009 EVENTS: Friday 20th November 2009 Crossings: Unity Theatre, 1 Hope Place, Liverpool, L1 9BG 0151 709 4988 Tickets £7 and £5 Starts: 8pm From the base of Liverpool gangland, the story unfolds through the eyes of Shelley, a young woman on the run from the gang whose code she has breached. She tries to shelter in a raging storm and finds a strange ship docked at Canning Dock. The ship is the most notorious slaveship of the Middle passage: The Zong. Crossings is an unashamedly feminist piece, exploring the struggles of identity, slavery and forced migration. Suitable for 13+

Cube Club
On Monday 14th September 2009 ACE are launching a revolutionary new club night for adults with learning disabilities in Liverpool's most state of the art nightclub. ACE will run a club night every Monday from 6 to 9pm in The Cube, Concert Steps L1 4AU. The Cube is Liverpool's first purpose built nightclub. Fully wheelchair accessible. With a light show and sound system unmatched in Liverpool and possibly one of the finest in the UK.
There is no dress code and strictly no attitude on the door while the music policy will also be without prejudice, driven by the desire of attendees and catering for a wide range of tastes and styles. Assisted Suicide Performance
The performance will take place on September 12th between 1pm and 2pm as part of Antony's Gormley's 4th Plinth Project. The performance will highlight the dangers of assisted suicide, with specific reference to the slippery slope that the current legislation may legitimize in the future.
We're hoping to make this one of the largest gatherings of anti-euthanasia supporters and organisations in the UK. Participation is free

'Akemi Presents...Declic'
Everyday, Stubborn, Clumsy, Beautiful Ideas! Dear Artist/Friend/Foe and Beasts, You are all invited to create with us a collection of small things. From the Sketch you left behind but still adore, to the photograph of someone you don't know. We here at Akemi are creating a wall of curiosity to be displayed in the fair city center of Manchester. So what do we ask of you, Well, anything really, Old and new photos, sketches, intricate drawings, paint, conceptual pieces. The mere memory or a slight suggestion. It is yours, your very own small space. We ask each and everyone of you to give as many as or as few very special things, for the love and enjoyment of others. Something old or something created especially, it's entirely up to you. Mime Workshop
Due to high demand, a limited number of extra places are now available for our Mime Workshop. This is your opportunity to learn silent comedy and mime techniques from an internationally acclaimed mime comedian and teacher. DANCE ON BBC3
To mark the centenary celebrations of Diaghilev's Ballet Russes, award winning filmmakers Michael Nunn & William Trevitt (Ballet Boyz) have teamed up with BBC 3 to produce a stunning new dance realisation of Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring. We are looking for talented Street Dance, Hip Hop, B-Boy/B-Girl crews and Latin American/Salsa/Tango groups as well as individuals who practice Contemporary dance who are up for a challenge and the unique opportunity to feature in a groundbreaking documentary dance film to be shown on BBC 3 later this year. Auditions will be held in Birmingham, London and Manchester on the following dates: BIRMINGHAM, DanceXchange 9th & 10th September LONDON, Rivoli Ballroom 12th & 13th September MANCHESTER, Zion Arts Centre

Sky1's Just Dance Competition
Just Dance is looking for Britain's best dancers to take part in the biggest national dance competition the UK and Ireland have ever seen. The series, from Shine Television, will launch in some of the biggest cities in Britain with auditions happening over the UK and in Ireland from September 2009. MANCHESTER auditions will be on Saturday 12 September and LIVERPOOL auditions on Friday 11 September.
Whatever your dance style or skill level, whether you are a kid, teen, dance student, dad, teacher or grandma, you can take part alone, in pairs or in groups. The winners stand to receive a massive amount of exposure for their talent and win an exciting prize. Events at the Picket Warehouse Liverpool.
Wed 2nd September 7pm-10pm Creative Cafe. The Creative Café is an evening of music, dance, drama and visual arts by young people for young people. Creative Café is a project designed to encourage, nurture and celebrate young people's creativity. The idea is that young people in the community can work towards producing a performance piece (Music, poetry, drama, dance) or artwork to display at the Creative Café. Established youth groups will be invited to perform. The project will place an emphasis on originality, young peoples own personal ideas and thoughts. The project is aimed at 13 to 19 year olds living in Liverpool, but not exclusively. The evening will be a fun social event for young people to meet up with other like-minded and creative individuals. Artists Assistant wanted
Gina Czarnecki is looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic artists assistant to start as soon as possible for the duration of 2009. There is a possibility of an extension depending on funding outcomes. The ideal applicant will be extremely flexible and able to work under own direction as well as having full permissions to work in the UK. As this position will be based at the artist's home the candidate must be both child and dog friendly. Hours of work: Approx 18 hours a week flexible basis. Fee: £2,500 Start Date: ASAP. End Date: End December 2009 - possibility of extension Required to: Make DVDs/ copying and some Mac final cut/Photoshop/aftereffects work. MUST know Mac environment and softwares. Project administration. Research for various projects - ethics, legal, marketing, techniques and materials/people. Archiving and filing. Collecting and delivering materials. Some basic Accounts administration. Day to day Project management. Assisting with organising trips and meetings- this also means coordinating domestic arrangements to enable travel for exhibitions, meetings etc. Planning and scheduling. Attending events/meetings when required. Note taking. Updating blog/website regularly. Essential Skills: English Speaking. High level of discretion and trust. Competent usage of Mac operating systems and associated software. Have own transport - this can include cycle. Preferred Skills: Fabrication -either drawing/sculpture/metalwork/digital video.
